2011 Nissan Cube Krom Edition
Technical Manager Cheryl L. Blahnik:This 2011 Nissan Cube is one of the few vehicles that can pull the color of the blue Caribbean color due to its fun and simplicity. If these cubes now return his favorite memories with a long-term cube. The inner intentions of water and the shag carpet dash were known and funny.
This particular KROM model comes with some good options like 16-inch wheels, an upgraded audio system, and specific external details like the sporty mask and spoiler. Of course, all of this comes at a price. A base Cube starts at $15,500, while these Chrome version has a base price that's $6,470 more. That's quite a big difference.
The 1.8-litre four-cylinder isn't very submobilized here, and once it gets up to speed the car runs well. It would be nice if Nissan offered a Nismo version with a little more power and improved suspension.

Suffice it to say that the CVT showed the expected poor response. But the rest of the cube was a pleasant surprise. engine and transmission noise. The transmission is well insulated and road noise was much less bothersome than I would expect from a small car. Likewise, the whipping wind in sharp bends was pleasantly subdued at motorway speeds. With a firm expectation of how the CVT would respond, the Cube was a comfortable ride on city streets and freeways.
The interesting exterior design extends to the interior, too, with the wavy headliner, unique dashboard layout, and Velcro bathmat for the center of the dashboard in our tester. If it were just weird I wouldn't like the Cube as much, but the design elements work well. The dashboard layout makes sense and the Krom version I drove had such extras as a rear-view camera, navigation system and satellite radio. That also helps explain the $22,000 sticker.
An observation of potential buyers in sunny areas: windows are flat glass, which leads to many reflections on the driver's peripheral views for wonderful days.Recognize that it was a reflection of a vehicle that certainly approaches the back of the car.
For this sticker price: yes, it is high.But if you take into account the equipment, the interior and the drive train, it does not contradict similarly equipped small cars such as the Chevrolet Cruze and the Ford Focus.And for those whom the state-of-the-art cube style likes, a small avant-garde addition could make it something special.

The sound system was great, the windows opened and closed, and the air conditioning was a quick cool down on a hot, humid afternoon. I like that all the controls are close together and easy to use. I particularly liked the additional navigation unit on this Krom model. It was small but effective. And the screen doubles as a rear camera, which is always handy.
More people stopped us and asked what we were driving, and a man even stood at a traffic light to attract our attention and find out details.Everyone gave the cube a thumb up and the same.

The effect of the 1.8 liter four -cylinder is minimal, but is expected, especially with this CVT.The car is okay outside the line, but you just have to put your foot down -weg.
The noise of the wind inside has decreased significantly and the windows below the cabin remain amazing with no currents. The air conditioning worked well and the interior cooled down quickly. I didn't need navigation, although it's a nice choice. You don't want to hear. The Chrome version has USB inputs and headphone jacks, so any music player will work.
It's nice that the rear seats move as a whole, but I don't think they go back far enough. If there were two tall people in the front, it would be pretty cramped for the rear passengers. Still, it's a versatile little car. With a trunk/lid and folding rear seats, it looks like you can fit a lot of stuff.
Another six thousand for the chrome version is hard to swallow, but if it's odd it's what you're looking for, with the amenities of a Honda Civic, the cube is here.
